Heading into a Week 7 road matchup on Friday night (the 13th, no less), Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers knew Syracuse would pull all the punches to topple the No. 2 team in the country. That was the case as the Orange pulled off the mammoth upset of the defending champs in the Carrier Dome, shocking the nation.

Most coaches hang their heads or blame others or even go radio silent after big-time upsets like the one Swinney’s Tigers suffered. His team looked confused all night long and Syracuse took advantage.

Dino Babers is trying to turn the program around, and that win over Clemson could be the first major step. Swinney recognized how well Babers coached and how impressively his team fought to earn the upset and showed nothing but class after the game.

Swinney continues to show why he’s one of the classiest coaches in college football. He went one step further than this and actually headed to the Syracuse locker room to congratulate some of the players and shake their hands. He’s everything coaches should be.
