9. Ricardo Louis, Cleveland Browns

This pick is certainly an exercise on how risky you feel. Playing anyone outside of RB Duke Johnson from this Browns squad could very easily blow up in your face. We’re here to chase targets and game scripts where the pass catchers will likely be heavily involved. That leads us to Louis, even if it can be scary to play a Cleveland WR. If you go this route, I’ll point out be careful you select Ricardo Louis from Cleveland, not Roger Lewis from New York. The Giants play in Denver and Roger Lewis is a terrible play.

The Browns have elected to start Kevin Hogan at quarterback after replacing rookie QB DeShone Kizer last week. Louis was one of Hogan’s favorite targets and he’s now caught 10-of-16 targets for 135 yards in the past two weeks combined. The Cleveland defense has been putrid so far and will be facing the hottest QB in football, Deshaun Watson.

The Houston offense is at home and boasts an excellent 1-2 WR combo of DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller. They’re going to put points on the board in bunches. Just like Kearse versus the Patriots, Louis is going to be very involved this week. The Texans defense is injury-depleted having just lost J.J. Watt for the season. The matchup doesn’t scare me at all for Louis.  Understand, he’s probably a target in a deeper league or a daily dart throw.
