6. John Brown, Arizona Cardinals

The man they call “Smoke” was one of my favorite wide receivers to draft this offseason. Unfortunately for him and the Cardinals, his season has been a difficult one to this point. Brown suffers from a sickle cell disease, making it hard for him to heal or to stay healthy. He’s missed two of five possible games to this point. However, he played the majority of snaps last week, proving he’s as healthy as he can get. He also saw 7 targets in the most pass-heavy attack in the NFL. The efficiency may not have been there(only two receptions) but he did score a TD. Brown is just too talented to be so low-owned on both sites.

The Cardinals play a Tampa Bay defense are one of the only two teams in the league to give up over 300 yards passing a game. I don’t expect newly acquired RB Adrian Peterson to walk through the door at the start of the week and change how often the Cardinals pass. That may be the ultimate goal, but it won’t happen this week. It’s always a little scary to roll out Brown knowing he can leave the game injured at any time. As long as he sees a normal workload, Smoke should have a big game at home against a bad passing defense.
