The Stanford Cardinal is making a huge push for running back Bryce Love to get the Heisman consideration he deserves.
While the consensus is that Penn State running back Saquon Barkley is the clear-cut frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy to this point in the season, Stanford running back Bryce Love has more than made his case for top billing in the race. Love is currently the leading rusher in the nation at 1,327 yards on the year, and he’s averaging a ridiculous 10.27 yards per carry for the Cardinal.
However, playing out on the west coast can most times be a negative for Heisman candidates, so they need all the help they can get, especially from their institution. With the second half of the college football season here, the Cardinal have stepped in to help out their talented rusher.
Stanford has recently launched an entire website dedicated to campaigning for Love for the Heisman. At BryceLove20.com, you can get all the information you need on Love including a biography, testimonials and video highlights of his insane play on the field.
This was a tremendous move by Stanford, simply because most west coast players don’t get the recognition they deserve when it comes to Heisman races. Unless you’re someone like a Marcus Mariota who leads a juggernaut team in a national title race, west coast players tend to get looked over. Stanford is making sure here to exhaust all the options they can so that they may be able to claim their first winner of the award since 1971 when quarterback Jim Plunkett earned the honor.

With plenty of games still to go, we’ll now get to see just how much more of a case Love can make for himself, which will be a joy to watch. And hopefully, this campaign that was launched by the school can give him even more of a boost because he really does deserve move love (pun completely intended here) than he’s gotten thus far.
