NFL quarterback rankings, Week 7: Cam Newton struggles
Chris Miller Division
26. Jay Cutler (Prev: 27)
Cutler has been middling t best, hitting on 61.6 percent of his throws with five touchdowns and four interceptions. The Dolphins are 3-2, but they have a long way to go before they look like contenders. It’s doubtful Cutler can get them there.
25. Josh McCown (Prev: 24)
McCown threw for 354 yards on Sunday against New England, giving him 1,374 yards and seven touchdowns for the season. At 38, McCown doesn’t have a future in the league perhaps beyond this year, but he’s played admirably.
24. Trevor Siemian (Prev: 20)
At some point, we all have to accept that Siemian is an overachieving seventh-round pick who belongs in the NFL as a backup. He can’t throw down the field or outside the numbers. He has little mobility and has six interceptions. If he can’t protect the ball, forget about it.
23. Case Keenum (Prev: 23)
Keenum isn’t a great starter, but he’s a capable backup who has the Vikings in first place. The journeyman has five touchdowns against a single interception while hitting on 64 percent of his throws.
22. Jacoby Brissett (Prev: 29)
Remember when everybody thought the Patriots fleeced the Colts when they sent Brissett to the Colts for Phillip Dorsett? Brissett is starting to look like a real quarterback while Dorsett has four catches for 85 yards.
