2. Washington Redskins at Philadelphia Eagles

The last game of Week 7 is one of the best. It features two NFC East rivals who have aspirations for more than just a division title this year.

There’s a legitimate argue the Eagles are the best team in football right now. At 5-1, their only loss comes on the road against the Chiefs. Carson Wentz is playing like a MVP candidate and is miles improved from last season. He’s taken full control of a team that’s as complete as they come this season. And as long as Pete Morelli and his officiating crew aren’t in town, the Eagles are in good shape.

The Redskins are an interesting team and we still don’t know who they really are. They’re 3-2 and Kirk Cousins is playing solid in a contract year, but has had to carry the team through a mountain of injury problems. Heading into Monday night, those injuries will play a huge factor. Rookie defensive end Jonathan Allen as well as starting cornerbacks Breshaud Breeland and Josh Norman are all expected to be out. Even kicker Dustin Hopkins is out for the season with a hip injury. Entering a tough stretch of games, we’ll really get to see the Redskins’ true colors.

Eight of the last 10 matchups between these two teams has been decided by a touchdown or less and I expect that to be the same come Monday. Wentz impressed on prime time last week and he’ll do it again in front of the Philadelphia home crowd.
