Carm and Kayla discuss the start of the NBA season and what it would take to beat the defending champion Golden State Warriors.
The NBA season is here and unfortunately we already have a devastating injury that will change the landscape. Gordon Heyward is out indefinitely, a blow to basketball fans everywhere. The best thing that could happen to the league this regular season is competition for both the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors. We now have less with Heyward out.
There is one thing that could stop the Warriors and that is injuries. Draymond Green having to leave early on opening night is not a good start. Who are the toughest challengers in the Western conference? Houston edged Golden State on opening night, but the Rockets have their own health concerns. San Antonio is older and Oklahoma City will have to learn how play with only one basketball.
The New York Yankees have yet to lose a home game in the playoff while Houston’s bullpen is proving to be a real concern. The Los Angeles Dodgers have a chance to go through the postseason undefeated, one win away from getting to the World Series without a loss. What has happened to the Chicago Cubs? The players say they aren’t tired, but the five games series with the Washington Nationals seems to have takes a toll.
Kansas City is no longer the only undefeated team in the NFL after losing to Pittsburgh. It was a rough week for Alex Smith and even rougher one for Aaron Rodgers. The NFC is back up for grabs, but football fans will suffer not seeing Rodgers on the field each week.
In our winners and losers section, De’ Aaron Fox does not like In-N-Out burger. To each his own, but that is an absurd take and Sacramento Kings fans should be very concerned. Everyone has their quirks, including Yasiel Puig who likes to lick his bat. This got us thinking about things we like to put in our mouth that should stay elsewhere.
