CSKA are third in the Russian Premier League with 24 points in 13 games. Offensively, Moscow are led by Brazilian winger Vitinho who has scored four goals this season, including one against Benfica in the Champions League. Manager Viktor Goncharenko has run a 3-5-2 formation almost exclusively this season and will likely install an aggressive game plan to pick up all three points at home.
Basel are third in the Swiss Super League picking up 18 of 33 possible points. Ricky van Wolfswinkel has moved around a lot in his career, playing for six different teams since 2011. Basel signed the Dutch striker and he has scored eight goals in 12 games before he broke his foot. Since van Wolfswinkel’s injury, Basel have struggled to replace him. Dimitri Oberlin will likely start in his place after he scored twice against Benfica. Mohamed Elyounoussi has assisted on seven goals this season playing behind the striker.
