The Florida State defense once again came up huge on the road in a conference victory. The state of North Carolina has been good to the Seminoles this year when the play there and this time they knocked off Duke.

Derrick Nnadi had two tackles on the day and it fits the trend of the top defensive linemen this past week. Not necessarily anything that jumps out, but more of them doing the little things so the guys behind them can make plays.

The NFL team that takes Nnadi is going to take him for his ability to potentially anchor a defensive line for many years to come. He has violent hands and an explosiveness that can completely blow up the entire offensive line.

It’s one thing to have a talented defensive lineman that can win his one-on-one battles, but it’s another to have one that can ruin the whole line at once. He is a warrior in the trenches and one the opposition fears going up against.

It’s a sad week in college football when the Clemson Tigers aren’t up big and Christian Wilkins isn’t out there celebrating almost every play. Unfortunately, that was the case this week as the Tigers fell in a shocker to Syracuse.

They lost 27-24 in a game that pretty much started off a crazy weekend that has been mentioned over and over again. Wilkins had three tackles on the night and half of a sack in the Tigers’ crushing defeat.

While it was a bad night for his team, Wilkins was still very good. His athleticism makes him an unbelievable talent for his size and he has the versatility to move from a five technique to a three as well.

With the way defenses play different personnel packages at the next level, Wilkins is going to be highly sough after for his versatility. On the bright side, if there’s anyone that can get the team fired up and focused again, it’s him.
