The Boston College Eagles managed to pull of an incredible win over the Louisville Cardinals on the road. It was a win their head coach needed and something that they can continue to build off of going forward.

After having three sacks the week before, Harold Landry fell back down to earth a little bit this past week. He finished with five total tackles in a game that certainly wasn’t going to be an easy one for him.

With a mobile quarterback like Lamar Jackson, it’s going to be tough for anyone to bring him down. The guy knows how to evade sacks and get out of the pocket in a hurry. That means Landry’s job did is going to be a little different out on the edge.

Nonetheless, he’s still the EDGE defender everyone is going to chase early in the first. He consistently gets pressure and is a matchup nightmare for any offensive tackle that he goes up against.

On one hand, Sam Darnold didn’t throw any interceptions in USC’s incredible win over Utah. On the other hand, he fumbled the ball three times and the turnover debate wages on for potentially the top quarterback in next year’s draft.

Darnold managed to lead his team back with some touchdown strikes and had a nice game outside of the fumbles. He finished the night with 358 yards and three touchdowns in the Pac-12 South showdown.

That being said, he fumbled the ball three times and the turnovers remain a constant. It wasn’t a problem for him last year, but it’s certainly become a major issue for him this year at the quarterback spot.

Losing the football sets the opposition up with great opportunities and it’s something that absolutely can’t happen. While a lot falls on the offensive line, Darnold’s job is to protect the football. He has to clean it up and keep the ball in USC’s hands.
