Marcus Allen

S, Penn State

Everything seems to be turning Penn State’s way this season. If ever there was a week to have a bye, it was this past week for the Nittany Lions. With the chaos that seemed to unfold over college football, it was a good week to have off.

In fact, Penn State seemed to benefit the most from it by moving up to the No. 2 spot in the rankings. Not only did they get a week to get fresh for their stretch run but they moved up as well overall.

For Marcus Allen, it’s been a great start to the season for him. He continues to steadily improve his stock each week. His ability to get in the run game and show off his physical skills are noted already.

His coverage skills are coming along as well and that will ultimately be the key to him making that next jump overall. Still, he’s a talented prospect and with plenty of upside. A big game against Michigan could help him.

Micah Kiser

LB, Virginia

The Virginia Cavaliers continue to have a memorable season. The program is off to their best start in a decade and they are just one win away from becoming bowl eligible and accomplishing a big goal they set.

A big reason for their success has been the play of inside linebacker Micah Kiser. He can do it all on the field and has the ability to move all over. Against North Carolina, it was another day filled with plenty of tackles.

He finished the game with eight tackles overall and added on to his rising total for the season. Kiser has been a tremendous leader on the inside for the Cavaliers this year and that has translated to the other players on the defensive side of the ball.

This defense has stood tall when they needed to for two weeks in a row. Kiser is one of those players that feeds off that energy and the impact that it has had is noticeable. His stock is high for this linebacker class.
