College Football Picks Against The Spread October 19-20, 2017

My college football pick em points were all the way down to 30 this week, my lowest total in several years. However, I think I did better against the spread. I haven’t finished all of the college football from last weekend yet, so stay tuned for my results against the spread later in the week. If there is a significant change in any of these lines, I will update them before game time.

More from College Football Odds

For those of you that are new here, I put myself out there every week. For the last six years, I have picked every single college football game. Sounds easy, right? I thought so too. So I have picked them all against the spread. That significantly increases the degree of difficulty.

I take the average of the odds from the six major Vegas casinos and round that to the nearest half point. There will be no ties here. Ties are for the other football.

Some site will sell you top ten picks for a fee. Some will even give you a couple of free picks to lure you in. This is every game picked, all for free.

This contains the picks for FBS vs. FBS games only. It is too hard to get an accurate spread on games that involve 1-AA teams.

I will assign a point value “bet” on each game, between one and five points. That way you can see just how confident I am in each pick. Look for those at the end of each line.

I cannot be responsible for you losing any of your worldly possessions, significant others, or limbs to a loan shark. This is for entertainment purposes only! I am a simple person. I cannot have that on my conscience.

We have a full 55 game week with all FBS vs. FBS matchups again. Six of those take place before our Saturday extravaganza. Let’s get to the early picks!

Louisiana at Arkansas State(-12.5)(2): It’s kind of unusual to find a line in the Sun Belt that doesn’t change since the open. This one hasn’t budged. Louisiana looked better with Andre Nunez at quarterback, but how much stock can you put in a game against Texas State? I’ll take the Red Wolves at home.

(25)Memphis at Houston(-2.5)(2): The AAC takes center stage on Thursday with a huge conference battle. I expect a close game here, but lackluster quarterback play from Houston has hurt their potential. However, for under a field goal, I will go with the Houston D at home.

Western Kentucky(-9.5) at Old Dominion(3): Ray Lawry took some snaps against Marshall, but it didn’t matter. The Monarchs are kind of stuck offensively right now. The Hilltoppers finally covered their first spread of the season last weekend against Charlotte. This line looks low. I’ll take Western Kentucky.

Marshall(-2.5) at Middle Tennessee State(2): Brent Stockstill is likely out again, but I’m still not sure Marshall can win this outright. Give me MTSU.

Air Force(-6.5) at Nevada(3): I don’t buy this. Nevada is rolling right now, and Air Force just escaped UNLV. Nevada is likely the better team, and it at home. Wolfpack straight up.

Colorado State(-7.5) at New Mexico(4): Really? New Mexico just got shut out by Fresno! Rams roll here!
