Marshawn Lynch ejected for shoving official vs. Chiefs
It hasn’t been a great season for Raiders RB Marshawn Lynch, and it didn’t get any better Thursday night. Lynch got himself ejected for contact with an official.
It’s probably not a stretch to say Marshawn Lynch runs to the beat of his own drum. He can be passive aggressive in interviews with the media and he’s got his own unique opinions about quite a few subjects.
Now, Lycnh is going to add to his fine total after what took place on Thursday night as the Oakland Raiders welcomed in the Kansas City Chiefs.
This stemmed from Derek Carr taking a bit of a late shot. That sparked a little dust-up that didn’t seem all that out of control. After all, it’s a rivalry game on a short week. Players are sore and tired, and tempers are a little short. Still, it’s pretty hard to comprehend what in the world was going through Lynch’s head on this one.
You can’t even defend Lynch by saying he was in the middle and it was an accident. He clearly shoves the official while looking right at him. He then went back for more after that!
In addition, it seemed like he ran in from the sideline, which is just a terrible look for Lynch. It’s one thing to want to defend your franchise quarterback who is likely still playing with a very injured back. It’s quite another to run into the pile from the sideline which was a good 30 yards away from the scrum and start shoving officials.

The Raiders are in the middle of a four-game losing streak in a season that had Super Bowl aspirations. Lynch himself has looked every bit like a running back who is over 30 and spent the last year traveling the world, getting into hijinks. Frustration boiled over tonight and will likely cost Lynch a lot of money and a game or two with a suspension.
