DraftKings NFL Bargain Plays is back for Week 7. This is a fantasy football column dedicated to providing value plays with high upside to help you cash in on big prizes in DraftKings tournaments.

Welcome to Week 7 of DraftKings NFL Bargain Plays. Here you’ll find a handful of players from each position who are underpriced and poised to outperform their salary. These bargain plays are ideal candidates when constructing your lineups for DraftKings GPPs.

Week 7 has a Main Slate of 12 games now that bye weeks are in play. There are plenty of tournaments offering large top prizes. Make sure to secure a spot in the NFL Fantasy Football Millionaire and the Fantasy Football World Championship Qualifier.

DraftKings NFL Bargain Plays is a resource for evaluating players with the best chance of finishing the week with a high fantasy points per dollar performance. Not every pick is meant to be used in the same lineup. Use this column to select one or two bargain plays, which allow you to pay up for higher priced stars.

DraftKings has done a great job of pricing players this week, which greatly decreases the amount of value plays and good ones at that. Note that when you’re building your rosters this week there aren’t going to be too many spots to comfortably save money.

Let’s check out some bargain play quarterbacks.

DraftKings NFL Bargain Plays: Week 7 – Quarterbacks

Tyrod Taylor ($5,100) vs. TB

Probably the chalk at quarterback this week, Taylor is coming off a bye week and has had plenty of time to prepare for his matchup against the Buccaneers. Tampa Bay ranks 31 in DVOA vs. Pass and Taylor’s mobility increases his floor and makes him a viable tournament play. He’ll be without tight end Charles Clay this week, but he should be able to make enough plays with the weapons he has.

Brett Hundley ($5,100) vs. NO

Hundley has been in the Packers system behind Aaron Rodgers for three years now. He’s shown great signs during preseason games, which is the best spot for us to evaluate his ability at the NFL level. Hundley is a unique athlete who is a cheap priced dual-threat, which is ideal for GPPs. I like him as a pivot off Taylor due to the fact that he’s playing with far superior offensive weapons.

DraftKings NFL Bargain Plays: Week 7 – Running Backs

Joe Mixon ($5,000) vs. PIT

Mixon will be facing a solid Steelers defense this week after spending last week on bye. The Steelers are more dominant against the pass, which could funnel more touches to Mixon in what could end up being a dogfight. We’ve seen Mixon’s role increase since the Bengals made a change at offensive coordinator. On a slate with minimal running back value, Mixon should see a big enough workload to give a high ceiling at his $5,000 price tag.

Duke Johnson Jr. ($4,900) vs. TEN

This game could be a sneaky shootout, which would be favorable for Johnson. He hasn’t seen many looks running the ball, but his pass catching ability is one of the best in the league. If the Browns trail in this game as expected, Johnson should out-snap Isaiah Crowell. With 12 to 15 touches, Johnson could reach tournament value or even better if he finds the end zone as he’s done three times this season.

DraftKings NFL Bargain Plays: Week 7 – Wide Receivers

Robert Woods ($4,000) vs. ARI

This spot was so ideal for Woods as it has become a trend to play WR2s against the Cardinals. However, it appears the Cardinals could bench Justin Bethel for Tramon Williams, which isn’t necessarily an upgrade, but its hard to get much worse. Regardless, I think Woods at this price is good value, especially on such a tight slate. Woods has seen an average of seven targets over the past four games and  has over 66 receiving yards in three of the four. He’s a lock for me in GPPs at $4,000.

Jordan Matthews ($3,700) vs. TB

You know the slate is tough when Matthews makes the cut coming off a hand injury. He hasn’t had the best showings with his new team, but the matchup is favorable. The Buccaneers rank 26 in DVOA against WR1 and the loss of Charles Clay should only increase Matthews’ value. His cheap price tag is worth rostering this week.

Bennie Fowler ($3,300) vs. LAC

With Emmanuel Sanders out with an ankle injury, Fowler should slide into the starting lineup. He’s not the most talented receiver in the league, but he fills in for Sanders who has received 25 percent of the team’s target share. It’s hard to argue against taking a flier on a guy priced at $3,300 with a significantly increased role.

DraftKings NFL Bargain Plays: Week 7 – Tight Ends

George Kittle ($3,600) vs. DAL

I’m following the narrative this week with Kittle since he’ll be getting thrown to by his college quarterback and roommate, C.J. Beathard. Of Kittle’s eight targets last week, six of them were thrown to him by Beathard. The chemistry is absolutely there and so is the matchup. The Cowboys rank 29 in DVOA against tight ends and Kittle has become more involved in the 49ers passing attack over the past two weeks.

Jack Doyle ($3,400) vs. JAX

At first it doesn’t make sense to roster pass catchers against the elite Jaguar pass defense, but if there’s one place to move the ball in the air it’s over the middle of the field. Doyle will be significantly under-owned this week and is a viable tournament option at tight end. The Jaguars haven’t faced the most talented group of tight ends to this point with Delanie Walker and Austin Seferian-Jenkins being the most skilled of the bunch. Walker scored 16.2 DraftKings points against the Jaguars in Week 2, while Seferian-Jenkins posted 8.6 DraftKings points in his second game back from suspension.

Nick O’Leary ($3,100) vs. TB

Who? O’Leary replaced the injured Charles Clay last week and caught five of six targets for 54 yards. Outside of LeSean McCoy, O’Leary could be the best pass catching option, especially if you aren’t sold on Jordan Matthews. It won’t take much for O’Leary to pay of this extremely cheap salary and could give you a big edge on the field if he does.

DraftKings NFL Bargain Plays: Week 7 – Defense

Chargers ($2,400) vs. DEN

Defense is where all the value is hiding. We saw the Broncos fizzle out on Monday night against the Giants in a game in which they were a 12-point favorite. The Broncos will be without Emmanuel Sanders and the Chargers defense ranks 12 in DVOA against the pass. Los Angeles’ defensive line and Denver’s offensive line has a combined sack rate of 8.8 percent, which ranks fourth on the slate. This Chargers pass rush should be able to get after Trevor Siemian and create some turnover opportunities. They just need to make sure they don’t get torched on the ground.
