The Premier League features a huge clash between Tottenham and Liverpool this weekend. Here are five bold predictions for all the action.
The Premier League returns Saturday after a midweek slate of Champions League. Brighton travel to West Ham to kick off the weekend’s action on Friday, before Liverpool visit Tottenham on Sunday to finish off matchweek 9. Here are five bold predictions about what will happen.
5. Tottenham and Liverpool play out 6 goal thriller
The last game of the weekend sees Liverpool visit Wembley as they face Spurs in what has the potential to be one of the early games of the season. Tottenham have struggled at Wembley so far but they managed to win their last game there – even if it was an unconvincing 1-0 win over Bournemouth.
Last week Liverpool probably should have taken all three points against Manchester United but a draw was a reasonable result. They took out their frustrations from that game in their Champions League match where they demolished Maribor 7-0. Spurs also managed an impressive 1-1 draw away to Real Madrid which has left them joint top of their group with the Spanish.
Therefore, both sides will come into this match full of confidence and fancying their chances of taking all three points. We expect a brilliant match but at the same time it’s a very difficult one to call.Liverpool’s defense leaves something to be desired but their attack is brilliant whilst Tottenham don’t have too many problems going forward.
The wider pitch should suit Liverpool’s wide players and the remaining nervousness of Wembley should be enough to give the Reds some chances. This points to goals, goals and more goals and we fancy a 3-3 draw between the two sides.
