Seahawks at Giants: Preview, prediction, odds and pick
We’re getting ready to see the New York Giants host the Seattle Seahawks this Sunday. Which team will prevail in this contest?
The Seattle Seahawks have had a little extra time to get ready for their cross-country trip to East Rutherford. And no doubt head coach Pete Carroll is looking forward to his team remaining perfect at MetLife Stadium. The ‘Hawks own a 4-0 record in that building, with two wins over the New York Giants, one over the Jets (Week 4 in 2016) and most importantly, a 43-8 triumph over the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII.
This season, Carroll’s club is off to a so-so start. On the other hand, Ben McAdoo’s Giants have already lost as many games this year as they did when they finished 11-5 and reached the playoffs in 2016. However, the team does come off a 23-10 win at Denver last Sunday night.
Can Big Blue build on that prime time victory? This shapes up as a fascinating contest.
Odds
Line: Seahawks (-5.5)
Over/Under: 40
Carroll’s club, coming off a little respite, is a substantial 5.5-point road favorite here (via SportsBook Review) and it may be a bit too much here. That over/under is extremely intriguing if you believe in our final score prediction.

The New York Giants rose up big time last Sunday night at Denver and both their offensive and defensive lines played big in the surprise of the Broncos. This week, we see McAdoo’s fronts doing a similar job against the defending NFC West champions. The Seattle Seahawks remains a shaky commodity in the trenches and don’t be surprised if Giants’ defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul (3 sacks in Week 6) has another big outing. It took the Giants six games to get one victory. It says here they build on that win.
Pick: Giants 24, Seahawks 16
