Lee Corso and the College GameDay crew will head to Beaver Stadium for Penn State vs. Michigan on Saturday.

On Saturday, College GameDay returns for another episode of the three-hour show that previews the day’s slate of college football games. Each week, Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Lee Corso and other analysts head to a college campus or venue, the one that hosts arguably the biggest game of the weekend. For Week 8, this will be at the Penn State campus as the Nittany Lions face Michigan.

A staple of College GameDay is Corso’s headgear pick. He puts on the mascot head or other attire of the team he thinks will win between the host campus and their opponent. This always riles up the crowd and gets the day of games started at 12:00 p.m. ET.

For Saturday night’s marquee matchup, will Corso pick Penn State or Michigan? Let’s find out.

Penn State moved to the No. 2 ranking in the AP Poll. This came after Clemson loss to Syracuse, as they formerly were the No. 2 team. It gave head coach James Franklin’s team an inside edge at the College Football Playoff, but with difficult games remaining before earning that spot. One of them comes against Michigan.

The Wolverines are without quarterback Wilton Speight, who went down with an injury. That leaves John O’Korn as the starter, a player who’s struggled mightily. Through four games, he has just 563 passing yards, one touchdown and four interceptions. The Michigan offense looks stagnant under him, with the defense carrying the load. Against a team that can explode on offense like Penn State, this may provide problems, especially on the road.
