It’s already Week 8 of the 2017 college football season. One game of note in the SEC will be between SEC West rivals, as No. 24 LSU Tigers (5-2) takes on the Ole Miss Rebels (3-3).

LSU enters play at 5-2 (2-1) on the year. The Tigers are the No. 24 team in the country heading into Week 8. They are 2-1 in SEC play. LSU has SEC wins over two rivals in the Florida Gators and the Auburn Tigers. The Tigers’ lone SEC loss is to the SEC West rival Mississippi State Bulldogs.
Ole Miss enters play at 3-3 (1-2) on the year. While Ole Miss isn’t bowl eligible this season, the Rebels haven’t completely given up on their 12-game season. They are coming off their first SEC win of the season over the cross-divisional rival Vanderbilt Commodores.
