Rashaan Gaulden of Tennessee really needs someone to coach him up on how to taunt fans in all facets.

Coming into Saturday, there were very few people who thought the Tennessee Volunteers would score on the Alabama Crimson Tide, much less come even remotely close to winning the game. That has been the case on Saturday, as Alabama cruised to a 28-0 lead in the third quarter.

However, after Alabama took that 28-0 lead, the improbable happened. Tennessee found the end zone. Yes, it did take place, folks. Now, was it the Volunteers offense? No. It was the defense, actually, as Daniel Bituli picked off Crimson Tide true freshman quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and returned it 97 yards to the house for the score. That was an incredible play in itself, but it’s actually not the biggest story here.

No, the story from this play involves defensive back Rashaan Gaulden and him not knowing how celebrations are supposed to work in more ways than one. After the touchdown, which cut the score to just 28-7, he proceeded to give the Alabama crowd the double birds, which was just a terrible decision in so many ways.

You should never taunt the opposing crowd when you’re getting it handed to you, for starters, and you should never, under any circumstances, taunt an opposing crowd with a gesture such as this. It’s classless and makes both you and the program you play for look bad.

But, really, bad is pretty much how everything has gone for Tennessee this season, and that’s continuing on Saturday against the Tide, as pretty much everyone assumed it would. The frustration is starting to boil over, and it’s leading to the players lashing out like this.
