Week 8 of the 2017 college football season has arrived. One game going on Saturday night in The American will be between the Tulane Green Wave (3-3) and the No. 16 South Florida Bulls (6-0).

South Florida enters play at a perfect 6-0 (3-0) on the season. The Bulls are the No. 16 team in the nation. They look like the team to beat in The American this season. South Florida could very well end up being the Group of 5 team that gets that highly coveted New Year’s Six Bowl bid. The Bulls are 3-0 in AAC play with wins over the Temple Owls, the East Carolina Pirates and the Cincinnati Bearcats.
Tulane enters play at 3-3 (1-1) on the season. The Green Wave are 1-1 in AAC play this season. Their one win in The American was over the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. Tulane’s lone loss in conference play was to the Navy Midshipmen.
