8. Kenny Stills with a catch of the year

We still aren’t halfway through the NFL regular season, but we’ve got a legitimate contender for catch of the year and it comes from Miami Dolphins wide receiver Kenny Stills. Early in the first quarter, Stills somehow hauled in this deep pass from Jay Cutler. The ball was bobbled around everywhere but it never touched the ground. It was reminiscent of Jermaine Kearse’s Super Bowl XVLIII catch.

Concentration is key and Stills had plenty of that on the  catch. Jay Cutler hasn’t much help from his wide receivers this season, but this play is definitely a way to get back on track. On a short week, the Dolphins will need all the help they can get to keep the ball rolling off a thrilling 31-28 win.

7. Eddie Jackson to the house

In case you didn’t see, Eddie Jackson saved the city of Chicago today. He was everywhere and that’s not an exaggeration. Off an stout defensive performance in a 17-3 win today, Jackson finished with a fumble return for a touchdown and this pick six.

Off a deflected pass from Cam Newton, Jackson was in the right place at the right time for the interception. He caught the ball on the run and was off to the races. No Panthers player could stop Jackson as he went 76 yards for the score. Somehow, when you think this Bears team is out, they’re now winners of two straight and have a ton of momentum heading into Week 8 against the Saints. You just never know what you’re going to get in this league week in and week out.
