The Brooklyn Nets will host the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday afternoon. Here is how to watch this Eastern Conference NBA game online via live streaming.

We’re still in the first week of the 2017-18 NBA season. After 11 great games on Saturday night, there will be three on the slate for Sunday. One of those games on Sunday will be between Eastern Conference foes in the Atlanta Hawks (1-1) and the Brooklyn Nets (1-1).

Tipoff from the Barclays Center in New York will be at 3:30 p.m. ET on Oct. 22. FOX Sports Southeast will have the Hawks telecast in the Greater Atlanta area. The YES Network will have the Nets telecast in the Tri-State Area. The available live streams for this game can be found on NBA League Pass and on FuboTV.

Atlanta enters play at 1-1 on the season. The Hawks won their season opener on the road against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night, 117-111. They would then go on to lose to its division rival on the road in the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night, 109-91. Atlanta is not expected to contend for a playoff berth in the Eastern Conference, but this team will play competitive ball this season for head coach Mike Budenholzer.

Brooklyn enters play at 1-1 on the season. The Nets lost its first game of the season to the Indiana Pacers in Indianapolis on Wednesday night, 140-131. Brooklyn would then turnaround and win its home opener against the Orlando Magic on Friday night, 126-121. Like Atlanta, Brooklyn isn’t expected to contend for a playoff berth this season, but will play hard for head coach Kenny Atkinson all season long.

According to SportsBook Review, the Nets will be laying two points at home to the visiting Hawks. The associated moneylines for this game are Brooklyn -125 and Atlanta +105. This game’s over/under comes in at a combined 220.5 points.

Given that Atkinson is one of Budenholzer’s proteges, let’s take the Hawks getting points in this one to potentially win in an upset. Atkinson had been on Budenholzer’s staff in Atlanta from 2013 to 2016 before getting the Nets job last season.

Atlanta and Brooklyn have developed a bit of a rivalry in the Eastern Conference over the last several years. From the Joe Johnson trade, to the 2015 Eastern Conference Playoffs, to Atkinson leaving Atlanta for his native Long Island, this could be the perfect game to set the tone for Sunday in the NBA.
