Hollywood Casino 400: Watch NASCAR Playoffs from Kansas online
By Nick Tylwalk
It’s another elimination race in the 2017 NASCAR Playoffs, and we let you know how to make sure you’re watching live.
Talladega didn’t disappoint when it came to shaking up the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs, but the Hollywood Casino 400 from Kansas Speedway will determine exactly who moves on to the Round of 8 and whose championship dreams come to an end.
Almost unbelievably, two of the names on the bubble are ones you wouldn’t expect. Seven-time champion Jimmie Johnson is safe as of now, but the driver right behind him is Kyle Busch. It’s possible that one of these two NASCAR superstars won’t move on, and if the wrong person wins, there’s even a chance both could be eliminated.
There are no such worries up front, where Martin Truex Jr. is already locked into the Round of 8 and starts the Hollywood Casino 400 on the pole. Kevin Harvick, Matt Kenseth and Denny Hamlin are right behind him, and three other playoff drivers — Kyle Busch, Jamie McMurray and Brad Keselowski — are also starting in the top 10.
On the other end of the spectrum, Ryan Blaney, who goes into Kansas seventh in the playoff standings, will have to try to survive while starting 40th. His attempt to hold onto a spot in the next round while beginning his day in the rear of the field should be interesting to watch.
