Who is on Talking Dead this Sunday, October 22? AMC‘s The Walking Dead aftershow is bringing out the big stars for Talking Dead season 8, episode 1.
For Sunday’s episode, “Talking Dead on Mercy,” Chris Hardwick will interview key members of both the cast and crew about The Walking Dead season 8 premiere. And since it’s the first episode, that means starting the season off with a bang.
AMC has confirmed that Walking Dead stars Andrew Lincoln (who plays Rick Grimes) and Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) will appear on tonight’s Talking Dead, while their website also promises that there will be “surprise cast members.”
Could Jeffrey Dean Morgan make another appearance, since Negan will be very much a topic of discussion? Considering AMC’s site is using a picture of him with Reedus to promote the Talking Dead season 8 opener, it wouldn’t be farfetched.
Definitely also in attendance for Sunday’s episode will be an entire slate of The Walking Dead producers. Robert Kirkman, Scott M. Gimple, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero and David Alpert will all be on hand to talk about where The Walking Dead season 8 will go after “Mercy.”
It’s an impressive lineup, and not a surprise since AMC will want to welcome its premiere series back with as big an aftershow as possible. That only makes sense, since Sunday is the start of a huge season (plus there’s a crossover on the horizon with prequel Fear The Walking Dead). With all that to talk about, why not bring on everyone possible to whet fans’ appetites?
