Nate Robinson looks to capitalize on Eric Bledsoe’s misery, wants to play for Phoenix Suns.

Eric Bledsoe wants out of Phoenix and Nate Robinson knows the perfect guy to replace him. Spoiler: It’s Nate Robinson.

Someone get Nate Robinson a drink because that man is dying of thirst.

As much as I love Robinson, this is a little desperate. I’m all for him angling for a roster spot, but Bledsoe isn’t even out the door yet and Robinson not only wants his spot, he wants his number as well. If the Suns are smart, they’ll give Robinson number 3 and hope fans mistake him for Isaiah Thomas.

Speaking of the Cleveland Cavaliers point guard, Thomas liked Slam’s Instagram photo of Bledsoe wanting out. I’m sure that has nothing to do with the fact that Phoenix traded him in 2015. Thomas just doesn’t seem like the kind of person who holds grudges. He and Bledsoe were teammates for a half season. He’s probably just supporting his good friend. Or maybe he thinks that’s a really good picture of Bledsoe.

The 5-foot-9 point guard — Robinson, not Thomas — was last seen in New Orleans, suiting up in two games for the Pelicans in 2015-16. He’s averaged 11 points and 3 assists for his career.

If the Suns end up moving Bledsoe and signing Robinson, it’ll be the punchline to worst joke ever: Isaiah Thomas, Goran Dragic, and Eric Bledsoe walk into a bar in Phoenix. Nate Robinson takes all the shots.
