NFL quarterback rankings, Week 8: Carson Wentz shines
Jay Schroeder Division
21. Case Keenum (Prev: 23)
Keenum has stepped into the fire and delivered for the Vikings, leading them to a 5-2 record. The veteran has 1,322 yards with five touchdowns, completing 64 percent of his throws. Nice job.
20. Tyrod Taylor (Prev: 21)
Taylor ranks 29th in the league with 1,178 yards. He also has just two interceptions, helping the Bills to an impressive (and shocking) 4-2 record. Taylor isn’t special, but he’s a game manager who can win.
19. Eli Manning (Prev: 19)
Manning has absolutely no help around him, and it has shown the last two weeks. The two-time champion has 1,600 yards with 10 touchdowns and five interceptions for the year, but over the last two weeks, has 262 passing yards … total.
18. Cam Newton (Prev: 16)
At what point do the turnovers stop? Newton had two more against the Bears in a 17-3 loss, giving him nine touchdowns and 10 picks for the year. Newton is a former MVP, but he’s one of the more overrated players of the decade.
17. Andy Dalton (Prev: 17)
Dalton was subpar against the Steelers on Sunday, throwing two second-half interceptions to seal Cincinnati’s fate. For the season, Dalton has 1,360 yards with nine touchdowns and eight picks. Nothing to write home about.
