NEW YORK, NY - OCTOBER 18: Dallas Keuchel

We know the World Series starts Tuesday, but what time does Game 1 actually start?

Game 1 of the World Series begins tomorrow between the Astros and the Dodgers. Dallas Keuchel and Clayton Kershaw take the bump for their respective teams. Even though it may seem odd, this is the first Fall Classic appearance for either Cy Young winner. Despite that, there is no shortage of anticipation heading into the game. Both Keuchel and Kershaw have been regarded as the league’s best in recent years, so it only seems fitting that they meet to open the final series of the year.

Meanwhile, both teams will be playing to bring a trophy back to their healing states. California continues to be devastated by widespread wildfires. Texas is still rebuilding from the effects of Hurricane Harvey just a few short months ago. For both clubhouses, this series is more than just a game, it’s a way to heal a hurting community. In addition, the Dodgers haven’t won a title since the 1988 season and Houston has yet to win one. For Houston, the title drought is much longer as professional sports teams have failed to win a title since the Rockets in the mid-1990’s.

Keuchel and Kershaw are two of the game’s best and they’ll square off in Game 1 on can’t miss television.
