Yasiel Puig debuts new hair ahead of 2017 World Series Game 1
Yasiel Puig debuts a new hairstyle ahead of Game 1 of the 2017 World Series, and there’s no question he’s got Dodgers Blue on the brain.
Charismatic Los Angeles Dodgers right fielder Yasiel Puig debuted his new Dodger-blue hair ahead of Game 1 of the 2017 World Series. Puig’s new ‘do features a band of blue hair on the top of his head that matches his uniform. If you’re playing in the World Series, you gotta play in style, right?
Dubbed “Wild Horse” by legendary Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully, Puig and the Dodgers have a lot to celebrate as Los Angeles returns to the World Series for the first time since 1988. While other players have grown out their facial hair over the course of the postseason, Puig went a different direction with his dyed hair, and it really suits his boisterous personality.
Puig’s triple and subsequent tongue wag in Game 1 of the Division Series are representative of his wild and unpredictable reactions. Nevermind that he didn’t score on the play or that no runs were batted in. This was Puig being Puig, and it’s why he’s so much fun to watch.
Sure, he’s had his ups and downs with the Dodgers but Puig has enjoyed solid numbers in the 2017 postseason with 12 hits, 6 RBI and a home run under his belt for a .414 average. He’s an important part of the Dodgers machine, and his energy and enthusiasm are important in keeping the Dodgers dugout loose during what is sure to be an intense, high-energy series against the Houston Astros.
