Bradley Chubb

DE, N.C. State

After a two-tackle performance and popping his finger back into place a couple of weeks ago, Chubb will be back in action this week. N.C. State is having a fantastic season and is undefeated in conference play currently.

However, Chubb is going to have his biggest battle of the season this week. N.C. State will be taking on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. That means Chubb is going to get his reps against that vaunted offensive line.

We have seen the Notre Dame offensive line make quick work of everyone that lines up against them all season and now they’ll get another pass rusher they’ll be going up against. For Chubb, this is the ultimate opportunity.

There is no better way to improve draft stock than by taking down the best and having a big day on the field. Winning one-on-one battles is going to be hard to come by this week and he’ll have to make an impact for his team to win.

Tarvarus McFadden

CB, Florida State

Tarvarus McFadden and the Florida State Seminoles suffered yet another loss this past week. This time they were sunk by a late field goal against the Louisville Cardinals at home in front of their fans.

As for McFadden’s performance, it was as good of a day as one can have when not seeing much action. Lamar Jackson didn’t really test him much and in fact, spent most of his day running the ball than throwing it.

When a cornerback isn’t seeing much action, there are typically some factors at play. The other team just doesn’t want to test their side of the field or has a strong running game plan they’re focusing on.

It was a little bit of both this week for McFadden. He did look solid in the punt return game and that was a nice sign for him as well. He’s going to have that breakout game soon enough if things hold up.
