Here are the players you need to start and sit on your fantasy team in Week 8.
Week 8 presents a big challenge for fantasy football players. Six teams are on a bye which means start and sit decisions are even more important. Some owners may not have many choices, but we’ll break down some options for you.
Not only are six teams not playing this week, there are some star players that will be unavailable. The Cardinals, Titans, Packers, Jaguars, Rams, and Giants are all out of action this week. Week 7 was kind of a weird week in fantasy football. A lot of players came up small in good spots. We’re looking at you, Atlanta Falcons. Now it’s time to turn the page and start to figure out who you can start and sit for Week 8.

Start: Chris Hogan, WR – New England Patriots
Perhaps this advice is a bit obvious. After all, any part of the New England offense could be a start every single week. The Los Angeles Chargers are coming into town and they boast some talented players on defense like defensive lineman Joey Bosa, linebacker Melvin Ingram, and cornerback Casey Hayward. While Hayward doesn’t get the attention others at his position do, he is one of the better corners in the league. He should be assigned to cover wide receiver Brandin Cooks the majority of this game.
As a result, Hogan should see the easier coverage and if there’s any quarterback in the league that can pick the better matchup, it’s Tom Brady.
Hogan has been a bit of a disappointment the past two weeks with only five receptions combined. He’s also been banged up, he took a big shot to the ribs in Week 6 and had to be evaluated for a concussion in Week 7. As long as Hogan is playing for New England this week, he should be playing for you.
