Toronto started the season with wins against Chicago and Philadelphia before losing their first game of the season in San Antonio. The Warriors are averaging 120.8 points per game, the second-highest mark this season. The trio of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Kevin Durant combine to average 73.5 points per game. Curry and Thompson will go head to head with Toronto’s backcourt of Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan. However, the Raptors have traditionally struggled to defend Durant and C.J. Miles will likely draw the majority of minutes against the former MVP.

Joseph’s departure opened up an opportunity for Delon Wright to take over the backup point guard role that Joseph had occupied the past two seasons. Wright has exceeded expectations early in the season, averaging 10.3 points per game and getting to the free throw line 4.7 times per game.
