The CW’s Riverdale continues its second season on Wednesday night with episode 3, “The Watchers in the Woods.” Find out all the details about how to watch the episode online.

This week’s episode of Riverdale marks a truly sad day for the series. And it is not only because Moose and Midge may have been killed in the closing moments of last week’s hour.

No, the sad event is that this is the episode where Jughead Jones starts going to a different school than Archie and Betty. After much talk, Jughead starts going to Southside High. And as shown briefly at the end of season 1, this may not be a bad move for Jughead. It’s just that it could spell trouble for the future of Jughead and Betty’s relationship.

He never really fit in at Riverdale High, but at this new school Jughead is surrounded by kids who grew up like he did. This is where the new character of Toni fits in. She is a Southside Serpent who quickly befriends Jughead on his first day of school.

For the first couple of episodes of this season, Betty and Jughead have been pretty happy. But it looks like Toni could prove to be a bump in the road for Bughead. Jughead insisted that he had no plans to join the Serpents, yet every episode seems to be pushing him in that direction.

Last week, he made a deal with the Serpents’ lawyer to help F.P. Now, the first friend he makes at his new school also happens to be a Southside Serpent. If one of the major conflicts during season 2 of Riverdale will be between the two sides of the town, it looks like Jughead is getting pulled further away from the side his girlfriend and best friend live on by the episode.
