There will be five NBA games on the slate for Thursday night. One of those games happening in the Western Conference will be between the New Orleans Pelicans (1-3) and the Sacramento Kings (1-3).

New Orleans enters play at 1-3 on the season. The Pelicans’ only win this season came against the Los Angeles Lakers. They have dropped three games so far this year to the Memphis Grizzlies, the Golden State Warriors and the Portland Trail Blazers. It doesn’t look promising that the Pelicans will be the fringe playoff team that many thought they would be.
Sacramento enters play also at 1-3 on the season. The Kings’ lone win this season came on the road against the Dallas Mavericks. Sacramento has fallen on three separate occasions this season. The Kings have losses to the Houston Rockets, the Denver Nuggets and the Phoenix Suns. Sacramento is not expected to contend for a playoff spot this season.
