The Orville’s rescue mission goes horribly awry in Thursday’s episode. Here’s how you can watch The Orville season 1, episode 7 live, on TV and online.
Thursday’s next episode of FOX‘s The Orville puts Seth MacFarlane’s spaceship crew on a planet where democracy has run amok. So will the vote turn in their favor, or could this mission end in a thumbs-down?
Season 1, episode 7 is called “Majority Rule,” and sees Ed (Seth MacFarlane) assign Kelly (Adrianne Paliciki) to lead a rescue team in search of two missing scientists. But as with most Orville season 1 episodes so far, there’s a catch. It turns out that the planet they’re searching is completely run by majority voting, and that includes punishment.
We’re just guessing, but Kelly probably won’t get a warm reception, or this would be a very short episode. So how will the Orville get her off the planet, and how many more quirks will The Orville season 1 throw into this episode? Like, could this make the relationship between Ed and Kelly all the more complicated? Because having your ex-spouse in a life-threatening situation does tend to put things in perspective.
Here’s how FOX officially describes the episode:
"When two Union anthropologists go missing on a planet similar to 21st century Earth, Ed sends a team led by Kelly to find them, but the mission quickly goes awry when they realize the society’s government is completely based on a public voting system to determine punishment."
