We’re getting ready to see the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles square off in the City of Brotherly Love. Which team wins on Sunday?

Talk about two teams that don’t have a lot in common these days (unless you consider the fact that Chip Kelly was each franchise’s head coach at one time this decade). The San Francisco 49ers are still looking for their first win under Kyle Shanahan and have lost eight straight games dating back to last season. Make it five consecutive victories for the Philadelphia Eagles, who at 6-1 are the only team in the league with a one in the loss column.

Niners’ defensive coordinator Robert Saleh needs to come up with some answers this week as his unit must deal with Eagles’ quarterback Carson Wentz. The second-year pro has thrown 11 TD passes and only two picks in his last three outings.

So can San Francisco’s offense keep pace this weekend? It promises to be a tall order for a team still trying to find some consistency on both sides of the football.

Odds

Line: Eagles (-14)

Over/Under: 47.5

It’s safe to say that it’s been awhile since the Eagles were this big of a favorite. And given the fact that the Niners lost by 30 points last week at home to the Cowboys, you can understand the line (via SportsBook Review). It will be interesting to see if the Birds can handle the over (47.5) by themselves on Sunday.

Off a short week and with a couple of key injuries to deal with, it may take the Philadelphia Eagles a little time to adjust to the various changes. That being said, there’s arguably no team in the league playing better football these days. Try as they may, the San Francisco 49ers have not been able to crack the win column and their young and talented defense is starting to feel the effects of limited offensive support. That will kind of be the case once again on Sunday.

Pick: Eagles 31, 49ers 20
