We’re getting ready to see the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins square off at FedEx Field. Which team will prevail in this contest?
The Washington Redskins have teased us all season by looking like a team ready to make a move in not only the NFC East but the division as well. But they have not handled things well with the opportunities presented them. Six games into their season, they’ve already been swept by the Philadelphia Eagles. And those Birds are starting to soar out of sight when it comes to the NFC East.
Speaking of the division, a year ago it was won by the 13-3 Dallas Cowboys. But this year’s version has already lost as many games as all of 2016. And in each of those setbacks, Jason Garrett’s club gave up at least 35 points. Ouch.
So should we expect a wild affair in Landover on Sunday?
Odds
Line: Cowboys (-1)
Over/Under: 50.5
When you defeat a team six times in eight meetings, it’s easy to understand why the Cowboys are a slight favorite here (via SportsBook Review). And when you play defense the way these two teams have in recent weeks, it’s safe to say that the over/under of 50.5 looks somewhat low.

You can bet the Dallas Cowboys will utilize the same formula on Sunday at FedExField that they used twice last season to beat the Washington Redskins. A year ago, it was all about that offensive line and running back Ezekiel Elliott and they teamed to frustrate Gruden’s team. However, while Garrett’s club has shown improvement when it comes to rushing the passer, stopping the ground game still remains a little shaky. And that liability is what is going to do in the Cowboys on Sunday.
Pick: Redskins 28, Cowboys 24
