Bowl eligibility is on the line for SMU Friday as the Mustangs play host to the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, and here is the information on how to watch online.

Because of the spread out nature of the American Athletic Conference, travel can be long and difficult, especially in cross-divisional matchups. SMU made the long trek from Dallas to Cincinnati last week, and were nearly upset by the Bearcats before escaping with a 31-28 victory in overtime.

With the win, the Mustangs improved to 5-2 overall and 2-1 in AAC play, meaning bowl eligibility will be at stake Friday when the Tulsa Golden Hurricane come to town. It would be the first bowl appearance for SMU since 2012 and the first under Chad Morris.

Tulsa has taken a big step back in 2017 after winning 10 games last season. The Golden Hurricane are in danger of missing out on the postseason for the first time since 2014 after head coach Philip Montgomery led the program to back-to-back bowls in his first two seasons on the sidelines. Now 2-6 overall and 1-3 in the conference following a disappointing upset loss to Connecticut last week, Tulsa’s bowl hopes are on life support.

SMU is a nine-point favorite to beat Tulsa according to most online sports books, though the Golden Hurricane have already pulled a big upset this season by beating Houston 45-17 two weeks ago. More information on this matchup is available from SportsBook Review.
