We’ve made it to Week 9 of the 2017 college football season. On tap this weekend is one of the greatest rivalry games in all of college football. That’s right, we’re talking about the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party between the Florida Gators (3-3) and the No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs (7-0).

This has not been the year Jim McElwain would have hoped for with his Florida program. The quarterbacking woes continue to be a problem for this Power 5 program. Florida needs to win this game to stay alive in the SEC East race. Florida is the two-time defending division champion, but this team needs to go at least 3-2 to get to a bowl in its final five games.
Georgia is playing its best ball in year. Kirby Smart has his alma mater’s program in his second year on the job. Georgia is off to its best start since the 2005 NCAA season at 7-0. Though it still might be a year early, Georgia is very much in the picture to make the College Football Playoff. However, it all starts with a win over arch rival Florida in Jacksonville.
