Halloween is just a few days away, but will there be a lead-up episode of Saturday Night Live on Saturday, Oct. 28?
After a massively successful season thanks to the runup and fallout of the presidential election, watching Saturday Night Live is becoming somewhat of a pop culture staple.
For me, Saturdays usually go like this: Premier League soccer in the morning, college football in the afternoon and Saturday Night Live at night.
Unfortunately, on Saturday, Oct. 28, there will be no new episode of Saturday Night Live for the second straight week.
Instead of a new episode of Saturday Night Live, there will be the David S. Pumpkins Halloween special, which stars Tim Hanks — and that’s pretty much all I can discern from the strange promo that was released by NBC. If you don’t believe me, check it out for yourself.
That’s strange in a somewhat intriguing way, right? I’m not the only one who is going to watch just in case it’s a disaster/comedic success, right?
Anyway, if that creepy and intriguing Halloween-themed special isn’t your cup of tea, Saturday Night Live will return the next week on Nov. 4 with Larry David and musical guest Miley Cyrus.
While it will be disappointing we no longer get to see Davis play the politically topical Bernie Sanders (although, there’s a part of me hoping they find some use for his eerie resemblance), David usually has some extremely memorable Saturday Night Live moments whenever he is on the show.
Known for creating Seinfeld (with Jerry Seinfeld) and Curb Your Enthusiasm, he wrote for a short time with Saturday Night Live before quitting and reportedly showing up a few days later as if he never quit at all.

Expect big things from David next week, even if there is no Saturday Night Live episode this week.
