It’s already Week 8 of the 2017 NFL season. One of the games going on this weekend will be between NFC South rivals in the Carolina Panthers (4-3) and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-4). Kickoff from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa will be at 1:00 p.m. ET on Oct. 29.
Carolina has been one of the most inconsistent teams in the NFC this year. Some weeks, the Panthers look like world beaters. In others, they struggle to score points against bad teams and lose. Look no further than their embarrassing Week 7 loss to the Chicago Bears where the Panthers managed just three points.
Tampa Bay finds itself in last place in the NFC South at 2-4. The Buccaneers are struggling mightily of late. The offense is up and down and the defense has been mostly down, rarely being strong enough to keep the Buccaneers in games. Tampa Bay needs to win this game in the worst way.
