Headed to the theater to see Thor: Ragnarok? We’ve got the runtime for the latest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe here.

The runtime of a film can make or break a movie-going experience.

If it’s too long, you can leave the theater feeling like you wasted a ton of time. If it’s too short, then you might leave the theater feeling as if you were robbed of extra movie time.

When it comes to the latest Marvel movie, Thor: Ragnarok will last 130 minutes. That’s a good two hours and 10 minutes, which, when added to the usual lengthy previews, means you’ll probably be in for around two and a half hours in the theater.

The good news about this running time is that, if you’re a die-hard Marvel Cinematic Universe fan like I am, then there will be a ton of content for you to watch and break down. 130 minutes is longer than Iron Man, Captain America: The First Avenger, Iron Man 2 and Thor, among others, meaning that you could be in store for the perfect amount of time immersed in the MCU.

The bad news is that Thor: Ragnarok has the exact same runtime as Iron Man 3, one of the more criticized Marvel films, so we could be in store for a movie that feels far too long. I, personally, would prefer too long to too short, but to each their own.

That being said, everything that is coming out about this film is that it is going to be hilarious and that it is the funniest of the Marvel films so far. I don’t know about you, but I’m all for two hours and 10 minutes of laughs with the star-studded Marvel cast.
