Monday’s next episode of The Good Doctor makes medicine a team effort, as the hit ABC series tries an experimental approach to its next case. Well, this show does come from the creator of House, so.

Season 1, episode 6 is called “Not Fake” and involves Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) having to save the lives of a couple on their wedding day. The idea that he comes up with might just work but he needs the help of a lot of people to pull it off, including his colleagues and the patients’ own family members.

The Good Doctor season 1 has defied a lot of odds and medical show cliches so far, so fans will have to see how the show turns left instead of right this week. Shaun’s approach to medicine has obviously appealed to patients and TV fans in equal measure, so how will The Good Doctor keep things interesting?

"Dr. Shaun Murphy and Dr. Claire Browne devise an experimental procedure that can save the leg and life of a young groom, that is if his bride-to-be and parents can learn to work together. Meanwhile, Jared struggles to emotionally connect with his patient whose scars may prove too deep to overcome."
