James Washington

Wide Receiver, Oklahoma State

The Washington Redskins may have gotten some good news when the San Francisco 49ers went out and traded for Jimmy Garoppolo. Everybody has long suspected that the 49ers would make a run after Kirk Cousins after the season, especially with his ties to Kyle Shanahan. The trade for Garoppolo has pretty much ended that conversation, as the team is already trying to get his contract extended for the foreseeable future.

If Cousins does stay in Washington, he is going to need some help at the wide receiver position. Terrell Pryor Sr. has not been the player they expected from the Cleveland Browns, and the loss of DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon have proved huge. The Redskins should look to draft a wideout with their first round pick next April, and James Washington from Oklahoma State would be a nice fit.

Washington has incredible skills, and would give Cousins a legitimate downfield threat. He has teamed with Mason Rudolph to give the Cowboys a lethal passing game, and has the team on the cusp of a Big 12 title this season. The Redskins need playmakers, and in this draft class, there may be no better big-play threat that the wideout from Oklahoma State who has been terrorizing Big 12 defenses for the past couple of years.
