Lamar Jackson

Quarterback, Louisville

The Jacksonville Jaguars are currently the class of the AFC South, which is not something anybody was prepared to say at the beginning of the season. However, they have been the most consistent team in a very inconsistent division, and lead the way despite getting nothing from the quarterback position. They have to move on from Blake Bortles this offseason, and it would start by drafting their future starter in the first round in April.

Lamar Jackson has been a dynamic player for the Louisville Cardinals, winning a Heisman Trophy during his time as the starter. His Cardinals have struggled mightily this season, and it appears the time has come for him to leave school and take on his next challenge. Some believe his skill set will not translate to the NFL game, but people also said that about Deshuan Watson, and they were wrong.

Jackson has all the tools you need to be a good NFL quarterback, possessing great feet, and the ability to get the ball downfield. His decision making ability has come under fire, but remember, Watson threw a ton of picks during his time at Clemson. I am not saying Jackson will have the kind of impact Watson has had during his rookie year, but he certainly would be an upgrade over the slop playing quarterback for the team right now.
