Minkah Fitzpatrick

Defensive Back, Alabama

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were supposed to be one of the better teams in the NFC this season, or at least in the NFC South. On Sunday, they were beaten pretty badly by the Carolina Panthers, as their offense really did not come to play. They are still an incredibly talented team and could make a run, but as it stands now, they would be picking within the first five picks if the season ended tomorrow.

The 2018 NFL Draft class is full of quarterback talent, but they already have their man in Jameis Winston. The former Florida State Seminole is developing into a true star in the NFL and is a big reason why so many people are high on the Bucs. With their first pick next April, the Buccaneers should look to improve their secondary, and Minkah Fitzpatrick is the best cornerback this draft class has to offer.

Fitzpatrick has played on some incredible teams during his time at Alabama and has a winning pedigree. He would instantly make this team better in the secondary while giving the Bucs a player who can play all over the defensive backfield. They need to stop the pass in the pass-happy NFC South, so picking a player who can help out in the secondary is definitely the right move in the first round.
