Bayern Munich defeated Celtic in the last round of the Champions League group stage 3-0, at the Allianz Arena. The two clubs now meet at Celtic Park, with the teams battling for second and third in the group. Bayern are second with six points, while Celtic are third with three points.
After struggling to start the season, Bayern have righted the ship under Jupp Heynckes after he took over for Carlo Ancelotti. Bayern defeated RB Leipzig in the DFB Pokal and Bundesliga. However, the win on Saturday came at a price. Striker Robert Lewandowski injured his thigh and will miss Tuesday’s game against Celtic. With Thomas Muller already out with an injury, Bayern options at striker are limited. If Heynckes sticks with his 4-2-3-1 formation, he might have to move James Rodriguez or Arjen Robben from the wing to striker.

Celtic are first in the Scottish Premiership with 27 points in 11 games. However, their European campaign will be determined by the last match of the group stage against Anderlecht. The winner of that match will likely finish third and advance to the Europa League. Manager Brandan Rodgers has two options, push forward and open up, or sit back and play for a draw against a strikerless Bayern.
