Olympiacos are not having the best Champions League group stage this year. The team from Greece still have not picked up a point yet and have not come very close to doing so either. Now they have to face Barcelona again after losing 3-1 away from home in the last Champions League match. Olympiacos have only notched three goals in their three contests, and two of those came too late in their first match to have any impact. They have a better shot at getting a point or three at home against Barcelona, but it’s still unlikely at this point. The best shot to advance for them is through the Europa League, and they will have to battle against Sporting to do so.

Barcelona, on the other hand, is first in the group and riding high. They have only given up one goal in three matches, a 90th minute garbage time strike to make it 3-1 against Olympiacos, who they face again this week. It’s never easy going up against this team from Greece, though. Their fans are rowdy and their players desperate for any sort of positive result. Still, Barcelona should be able to get past them and all but wrap up a place in the next round.
