Almost every Marvel movie has had a post-credits scene, so will Thor: Ragnarok be the latest one?

The fall is prime for movie season, with some of the year’s most anticipated releases happening during this time. Marvel will be at the forefront of this with the upcoming film Thor: Ragnarok. It’s the third installment of the Thor franchise.

Ragnarok will run for over two hours. However, at the end of almost every Marvel film, there’s a post-credits scene that extends it another one to- wo minutes. Sometimes, there’s more than one post-credits scene, like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Spider-Man: Homecoming, which featured more than one of them.

These post-credits scenes can mean everything toward a future Marvel movie. Other times, they’re just ways to fool viewers into sticking around (see the second post-credits scene for Spider-Man: Homecoming).

For Thor: Ragnarok, there will be two scenes to stay for after the movie ends: one mid-credits and one post-credits. We won’t spoil them here, but if you’re questioning whether to remain seated for another minute or two, you should. Maybe it teases a plot line for Avengers: Infinity War, the next movie that will feature Thor and other characters that are in Ragnarok.

If these post-credits scenes tease something for Infinity War, could it involve other Avengers? What about a brief scene for Doctor Strange, who has a minor role in Ragnarok? How about a tie-in to the next Marvel film, Black Panther? Whatever these scenes show, it should be meaningful when it comes to the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
