The latest Big 12 power rankings for Week 10 after Iowa State upset TCU and how Bedlam will impact Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.

Another week of the Big 12 came and went. It saw another major shakeup at the top, with TCU falling to Iowa State, 14-7. That will have College Football Playoff implications, along with impact other teams like Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.

Outside of this, Texas Tech lost again. Its season looks hangs in the balance, with a 4-4 record after a 3-1 start to the season. Baylor and Kansas fell, as well, combining for a 1-15 record in the 2017 campaign.

How did all of this change the Big 12 rankings for Week 10? Let’s take a look.

It’s a weekly theme for the Big 12 power rankings. Baylor lost. This time, Texas took them down, 38-7. It was a far cry from the monumental comeback against West Virginia, which saw the Bears get just two points from tying the game.

Coach Matt Rhule has played a two-quarterback system, almost flip-flopping Zach Smith and Charlie Brewer with every series. It’s not giving either player momentum, causing the offense to stall and put up middling numbers like they did against the Longhorns.

However, Baylor is headed to Lawrence, KS to face the 1-7 Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday. If it can’t win there, then 0-12 looks guaranteed.

Kansas’ narrative is almost as repetitive as Baylor. It hasn’t won a game since Week 1, dropping every Big 12 game to teams like Texas Tech, Iowa State, TCU and Kansas State.

The Jayhawks did break out of their two-game scoreless slump, however, which can’t be considered a success since no football team should fail to score in back-to-back contests. In a lost season like this, maybe it’s a moral victory.

A real win could be on the way, though. The upcoming game against Baylor is Kansas’ best chance at getting a second victory, before playing Texas, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State — three teams that are more talented in every facet of the game. So, this battle of the worst could be interesting.
