Four new locales for the College Football Playoff national championship game have been identified.

The location for the College Football Playoff national championship game in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 is set, and fans of several teams now can start dreaming of playing for the national title in their own backyards.

After the 2020 regular season, University of Miami fans would be ecstatic if the Hurricanes were in the top four of the College Football Playoff rankings, as Hard Rock Café Stadium will be the host of the tournament that year according to Matt Murschel of The Orlando Sentinel.

That game, regardless of which teams will participate in it, will take place on January 11, 2021. Although it will be the first time that Miami will host the current inception of the national title game, it will be the 21st time that a football game to decide the national championship will be played in the city.

While they were at it, the College Football Playoff committee also announced which cities had been awarded host duties for the following three years as well.

For the 2022 game, Hoosiers fans should start to hope against hope. Indianapolis will be the host that year. UCLA and USC fans, look toward that following season, because Los Angeles will play host in 2023. For 2024, fans of teams like Texas, Texas A&M and Texas Tech can get amped, as Houston will be the site.

This is the completion of a goal that the committee set when it was formed, as the first 10 national championship games will be played in 10 different cities. Whether or not the trend of playing in a different venue every year will continue remains to be seen, as normal weather patterns in mid-January make many possible locations inconvenient.
